I have xp home, and I am trying to create a new VPN
network connection. As per the help (which didn't help) pasted below. I can do 1 and 2 but then when I try to do 3, all my options are grayed out thus hindering me from doing anything else. Any ideas? To make a virtual private network (VPN) connection Open Network Connections. 1)Under Network Tasks, click Create a new connection, and then click Next. 2) Click Connect to the network at my workplace, and then click Next. 3)Click Virtual Private Network connection, click Next, and then follow the instructions in the wizard. Notes To open Network Connections, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network Connections. You can create multiple VPN connections by copying them in the Network Connections folder. You can then rename the connections and modify connection settings. By doing so, you can easily create different connections to accommodate multiple hosts, security options, and so on. Related Topics |

Open up Computer Management and then click the Services link.. Check
to see if the Remote Access Connection Manager is started or enabled. If it isn't started, right click on it and start it. Then try your VPN connection again.
