Konstantin,
I was under impression that Eastern time was GMT - 5 (at least that is what windows says). Since I was under impression that during the summit in April you also adjusted local time, then how come that 11:30 P.M + 5 is 3:30 A.M. GMT. My time math is probably not good but I fail to see how to calculate time to get time that MS quoted here. On all chats so far I was wrong about 1 hour. Thanks, Slobodan "KM" <konstmor@nospam.yahoo.com> wrote in message news:OY8OiOVKEHA.2716@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > I also missed the chat. > Hope the chat log will be posted later. > > -- > KM > > > I did not pay attention that this was 4:30-5:30 A.M. Slobodan,
I've missed the chat for different reasons (hate to switch between projects but sometimes no time for XPe :-( ). DST starts here (Pacific time) 2am 4 April 2004. So, the difference is PT=(GMT-7) now. http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/ti...state/index.htm The same for ET (GMT-4 now). http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/ti...vania/index.htm. Do you confuse GMT with Western time zone? http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/europe/uk. -- KM, BSquare Corporation > Konstantin, > > I was under impression that Eastern time was GMT - 5 (at least that is what > windows says). > Since I was under impression that during the summit in April you also > adjusted local time, then how come that 11:30 P.M + 5 is 3:30 A.M. Slobodan,
GMT is always "standard" time -- i.e. British Summer Time = GMT +1 hour. The U.S. timezones are also on Daylight Savings Time = standard time + 1 hour. If that's not confusing enough, the U.S. and Britain change from standard time to summer time on different dates. So, you are in good company being 1 hour off!
