Cd_rom booting error 7B

Dear all,
I have create a pre_FBA CD, but After booting the Post-FBA El Torito CD,
the error "Stop 0x0000007B(0xF7AC4640,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)" is
displayed.
my target system :
one disk(40GB), C: 550MB,D:10GB, the last space is unallocated ;
one cd-rw
and so on;
I use tap.exe to get the target system info
I have added all the components: EnableAutoLayout,El Torito CD,EWF NTLDR,
EWF.
all the steps are from MSDN.
my design system is same as my target system,except two different type of
disks.

Have i explained my steps clear?
i have no idea about this result,Can you help me ?

I don't think you gave us enough info on the steps. You should describe
presicely what you have done.

Have you run etprep.exe to swap the drive letters?

my steps:
1. Design image,Add components;
2. Building an El Torito Run-Time Image;
3. Create Bootable CD, that is pre-FBA CD ;
4. Booting pre-FBA CD, FBA phase Begins;
5. Running Etprep.exe;
6. Create E1 Torito CD
7. Finish
then my error occur at the 4th step, and Fbalog.txt is not created yet.

error 7B means a critical boot device is missing from configuration;
but i think i have Added all hardware;

what can i do now?

Where did you dig out this step?

AFAIK Eltorito CD should be present in drive while you do FBA on HDD (not on
CD)

Step 4.. You need to boot the run-time image located on the 650 MB hard disk
partition (not boot the pre-FBA CD).
But as Slobodan pointed out the pre-FBA CD should be inserted into the
device CD-ROM drive.

inserted the pre-FBA CD,but got a error: 0x80004005;

First why is the signature of el-torito disk 0x7FFFFFFF?
Is should be 'ELTO' written in HEX.
Have you used hd2iso for creating image file?

Also your EWF is failing.
Safest way to overcome this would be to delete D:
and all hidden partitions (EWF partition from previous attempt).

use diskpart to see and delete that hidden partition.

panyul,

The default Eltorito CD signature is 0x4F544C45 or 1330924613 in dec. This
is 'ELTO" reversed in hex. This is probably what Slobodan meant.
When you add "El Torito CD" component in to your image, there is a default
signature value in the component settings. Hope you did not change it.

Also, you may use Etprep.exe with the /delete option to clear all previously
created EWF volumes on the system.

Sorry, forgot to mention that you can change the default Eltorito CD
