I just went through this and found that running the device as a Power User
allows me to support devices for which I have included the driver but
attempts to install anything else results in prompt that only Administrators
can install new hardware. This is not without ramifications, as other tasks
you have may need admin rights, some of which can be accomplished with runas
or modifying security policies.
