I am glad someone is stress testing XPProEmulation and therefore XPe. This is the task MS should do but it seems they haven't done
that or haven't done that enough :-(

By any chance, have you included EWF in your image? EWF is not included in XPProEmulation by default (this was documented) for
obvious reasons.
If you do, have you applied this EWF QFE

I was accidentally playing with EWF images yesterday (not XPProEmulation, though) and found out that without the QFE EWF is working
very less stable than with the QFE. Without the QFE I could get (though I was doing some undocumented things) the
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL pretty easy. With the QFE in place, I couldn't get the BSOD at all.
