Movie Maker Canon Elura Firewire/1394 cable Adaptec 1394/usb 2.0 card HP NetVista clereon 600Mhz Problem: When capturing video from my canon elura digital camcorder, I do not see the date and time displayed on the captured video. When I copy the video to VHS and use the RCA or SVHS ports, I see the date and time displayed. Any ideas? Solutions? |

On a DV tape time&date (and more) are on the tape though not visible. If you
like to show it you can always use your camcorder RC and press someting like "Date/Time" button; this will show the date/time onscreen and will be recorded while you capture. Alternativly you could also use title overlays to make your own date/time impressions visible "Joe" <just4joe@mail.com> schreef in bericht news:03e301c347e2$46694170$a101280a@phx.gbl... > Products: Win XP Home edition > Movie Maker > Canon Elura > Firewire/1394 cable > Adaptec 1394/usb 2.0 card > HP NetVista clereon 600Mhz > Problem: When capturing video from my canon elura > digital camcorder, I do not see the date and time > displayed on the captured video. Apparently, when capturing through firewire, displaying the data code on the
camera does not make it appear in the captured clip. Firewire capture is more like file transfer, not analog "capture". The downloaded AVI-DV has the datacode information in each frame but you cannot see it. Supposedly, the film editing software will have to have a way of making it visible when you want it . -- Aloke --- to reply by e-mail remove 123 and change invalid to com "Darek" <dszofer@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:eatxnv$RDHA.1304@TK2MSFTNGP11.phx.gbl... > On a DV tape time&date (and more) are on the tape though not visible.
