Default WMM2 quits everytime I select a transition or effect

Every time I bring up the list of transitions or effects
as soon as I select one of the icons and release the
mouse button WMM2 quits. This happens if I just click on
the effect or if I drag it to a clip and release the
mouse button. It happens if the the storyboard is clear
or has clips on it so I guess it's nothing to do with the
video clips themselves but the effects. Any ideas?

A common issue - see the hardware acceleration and codecs page in the
problem solving section of

www.papajohn.org

There a few ways to resolve this. This si the way that
worked for me... Find a file named divxaf.ax reman it
to divxaf old.ax. Reboot pc. then try again.

I am having the same issues and I know that all the
minimum requirments are met. I cant do a transition or a
effect! It closes it down and I lose everything!

Email me if you can get anything?!
