You should look in the PnP section of the fbalog and see if there were any
errors reported during the detection of the display adapter and the installation of its driver. If it failed, then you'll always fall back to the VGASave driver, which will default to low res mode. Go look in the runtime's Device Manager or in Display Control Panel's advanced settings, do you see the Intel Graphics device as being properly installed? These are all clues to get you going in the right direction, but usually it's because the device failed to install during PnP. Also possible that your device or MONITOR don't support the 75Hz? Good luck! You can always use API function ChangeDisplaySettingsEx
If will work always as long as the drivers are installed. Best regards, Slobodan "Irv Rosenthal" <irvr@lelcs.com> wrote in message news:000101c3972c$98142c80$a501280a@phx.gbl... I am having a similar problem with the Intel 865 graphics adapter. I have installed the component and the display manager actaully indicates the proper driver / monitor setup, but in the FBALOG it still fails the resolution install. This problem has resulted in our application dialog being too big for the 640x480 screen it is designed to run on. I have posted several messages with no helpful resut. If anyone has a solution, I would love to hear it as well.
