Hi Heidi,
it is still the same modem and I really do not know how to make it run. I tried all the hints you suggested me and none of them worked. I am almost crying!!! OK, well once I've got the new Vampire build done, you can try installing on
that and see whether it works or not. The error you reported before was 674, which was to do with not being able to read the speed from the .inf file, which sounds very likely to be responsible for your problem. Whether this was the error or not, you have two possibilities - your driver is broken, or your driver has dependencies you don't know about. I would suggest you install the driver normally on the Xpe image. If this corrects the problem, then you know your driver component is at fault, and I suggest you use inctrl 5 (available from xpefiles.com) to track the installation on an XPPro system and create a new component from this information. If you cannot install the driver, please report what problems you have *in this thread* and we'll try to get you sorted out. If installing the driver works, but you still have the same problems, then you know you are missing a dependency somewhere. i install direct modem after fba install success but modem work bad it is slow connect to 296bps this value is indicate tfrom compuetr that receive the call, at this moment i think that any component for modem usb aren't in my list it is possible have the complete list of component for modem usb configuration |

The easiest way to find out if this *is* a dependency issue is to use the
vampire build which I'm in the process of redoing. I have to do this on my own time, as I actually do have work to do while at work. However, at the moment I also have a rush sewing job on, and as I'm getting paid for that, I'm afraid it gets most of my time.
