I am working on a Bootble CD project. My target is a dual boot system
Partition 1 500mb XPe FAT Partition 2 3g partition W2k NTFS (safe build) contains hd2iso Unused about 1.5 g The first time I produced the bootable CD it booted and used C: for its own file system and D: for partiton 1 The second time it booted and used C: for its own file system and F: for partition 1. ??? Is this due to whatever etprep does after it runs? 2nd ? I decided to completely re ghost my system using Symantec's ghostcast program. Afterwards I downloaded my XPe image to Partition 1, booted into the safe build and ran hd2iso. here is the result HDISO error Packaging ISO image. This will take several minutes. Verifying Configuration... ERROR Could not read partition table of selected drive - Intitializing iso image file mapping ... done - Processing volume descriptors ... done - Processing boot catalog ... done - Processing contents of primary volume ... done ERROR! Could not open device \\.\PhysicalDrive0 ERROR 5 Access is denied ERROR! Could not retrieve disk geometry Image Incomplete saved to d:\fba5.iso Unfortunately I'm pretty much lost here. Hmmmmm Its seems that's not unusual. But thats OK its all part of the job and I've got a lot of experts here to help me... Thanks for your help Rick Eis |
