Hi guys, I'm new and I'm looking for some help if possible..
I have a problem adding an intel netowork driver, I open the component designer, I import the inf file I found in the drivers package, I delete the devices I dont need (it's a very long unified drivers list), I create the repository adding the driver files, I create the package and I save everything. I close all the application, I open the component database manager and I import the sld file. Now, I can see the componet under the repository tab, in the package tab the package doesnt contains anything and when I run TD I cannot find it in the list of avaialble components. I'm really stucked. If you might have an idea I really would like to have a feedback. Thanks a lot in advance for your time. Best, nettie |

Take a look at this tip article to make sure that you have correctly
componentized your driver. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/em.../thirdparty.asp Also make sure that in Component Designer you add a Group Membership in your component to the package you created -- Hope this helps, Lynda "This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights" "nETTIE!" <nettie@apple2.com> wrote in message news:ae0f8f38.0308271154.7a159784@posting.google.com... > Hi guys, I'm new and I'm looking for some help if possible.. > > I have a problem adding an intel netowork driver, I open the component > designer, I import the inf file I found in the drivers package, I > delete the devices I dont need (it's a very long unified drivers > list), I create the repository adding the driver files, I create the > package and I save everything. If you right-click on the component in component designer,
are 'set to latest revision' or 'update component' listed? If they are, click on them. That should sort you out. >-----Original Message----- >Hi Linda, > >thanks a lot for your kind reply, I really appreciate your help. > >I followed the instruction contained in the link >http://www.microsoft.com/windows/em...ommunity/tips/x p/thirdparty.asp >till the step where I should set the repository information in each >component (step5) that I was not able to complete. *G* Linda's my surname, for which you can blame Canada.
Glad that helped you, anyway. >-----Original Message----- >Hi Linda, thanks a lot! I wasnt really able to find a solution to my >problem.. now it's perfect!
