Can I sell my used (activated) copy of windows xp and will the buyer be able
install it and activate it on their PC? I called Microsoft and they said I could, but I want to double check if anyone here has done it w/o problems. I didn't see this issue addresed in any posts, forgive me if I missed it. Thanks you. |

Yes, no problem as long as Windows XP is retail and not OEM.
Simply remove it from your computer. Be sure to transfer the original CD, original Product Key as well as all documentation. Worst case the buyer will have is a activation call to Microsoft. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar In memory of our dear friend, MVP Alex Nichol http://www.dts-l.org "Kooljay2" <Kooljay2@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4FAA6CD0-1D2D-4889-9266-453F0F1D6556@microsoft.com... > Can I sell my used (activated) copy of windows xp and will the buyer be > able > install it and activate it on their PC? As long as both are original, you will be OK.
