My computer locked up while trying to transfer files and now every time I try
and start it up it goes to the "your computer was shut down improperly...." black and white screen. No matter what I press, it just restarts and does the same thing. Please help, I've tried making a boot disk and startup disks and nothing! |

Try entering the BIOS on start-up,install xp cd,select to boot to xp cd,1st
priority boot device (cdrom),then at info screen,select,recovery,press enter for password,then type:CHKDSK C: /R When its thru (10-15 min),type:EXIT Let xp restart.
