I am unable to do a search for files on my computer. I
click on start, search and it doesn't open the search screen. It acts as if it is trying to do something, because I get the egg timer if I mouse over any other options or I get nothing if I click on another program. Any ideas? |

Click Start, Run, then type in: regsvr32 /i browseui.dll
Press Enter Then type in: regsvr32 /i shell32 Press Enter If the above fails to fix the problem, then consider the following links for more information:- Why doesn't Search work? http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/top10faqs.htm Troubleshooting Search Issues in Windows XP http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_s.htm#search Windows XP Search Problems http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_search_probs.htm "Debbie" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:67a601c493c2$8e7e8010$a501280a@phx.gbl... >I am unable to do a search for files on my computer.
