Default error code 0x000006ba


everytime i try to sfc /scannow I get this error message, windows file
protection could not initiate
a scan of protected system files. error
code 0x000006ba
[RPC server unavailable]
anyhelp would be great because I keep getting prompted that I am missing dll
files and to insert my disk which I do then I get a message that its the
wrong disk. But its my winXP disk.. I am so confused..
