Default private user settings

is there a way you can make the settings on one user
different than another (ex. hotmail is my default e-mail
and outlook is my dad's default e-mail. but when i change
mine, it changes his as well). I was pretty sure that
there was a way to do this. i know that you can make your
folders private, but that didn't help much. thanks for
your time.
