Multiple Admininstrator Folders

I am the sole user of XP Home Edition and until recently had only one
Administrator folder (258KB) in Documents and Settings. After using System
Restore, I picked up a second folder, Administrator.ID (35MB). After a
subsequent start in Safe Mode, I picked up a third folder,
Administrator.ID.000 (45MB).

1. They bother me because they are so large. What is the purpose of these
additional Administrator folders?

2. Can (should?) I delete them?
