Default Can't play DVD video's since Pro upgrade

Since installing XP Pro I can no longer play DVD movies. The computer doesn't even acknowledge I have a DVD movie in the drive. I can still play CDs with data files, music files and view pictures... and I can still write to CD's. But no DVD movies. Any idea on what happend? And since I'm not so bright, I don't have a backup disk (I've already kicked myself!).

Reinstall your DVD decoding software.... PowerDVD, WinDVD, whichever came
with your PC.
