I recently updated from Windows 98 to XP home edition. I
downloaded a file from my accountant and tried to unzip it. It would not unzip and I received this error message: "This application failed to start because ACE32.DLL was not found". Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or what this message actually means? I would appreciate it! thanks. |

Everything I can find on google about this DLL is related to databases or specific applications. If the accountant sent a self-extracting zip file, the action of unzipping may be trying to launch the contents automatically. And the file contents may be in a form that needs a specific program to display properly - a program that you don't have perhaps? Or a program that is not the right version to handle this file? -- Sharon F MS-MVP ~ Windows XP Shell/User |
