Sometimes when I am changing my system configuration, it asks me to put the
XP install disk in the CD drive or point to a local place for the install files. But my CD is the original XP install CD and I'm now at SP2, so it doesn't like the original install CD because it is backlevel. Is there a SP2 CD I can order/download to burn or a place on my hard drive where I can point to instead of using an install CD ? thanks |

Hi Jamie,
Which configuration are you changing? BTW, the updated system files would be available in this folder: C:\Windows\Servicepackfiles\i386 -- Ramesh, Microsoft MVP Windows XP Shell/User http://windowsxp.mvps.org "Jamie" <Jamie@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7EA24D67-FC46-48B4-98EC-C287BA76333C@microsoft.com... You can slipstream the original CD with the downloaded SP2 file and then
burn yourself a new CD. Do a Google search on slipstream for particulars.
