Default Domain Logon Delay

Setting up WinXP (SP1) workstations, logging onto domain on Win2000
server.

The logon process (when attached to the network) is extremely slow - 90
sec to 2 min. The situation is similar to what's described in KB article
832161, but the solutions there do not fix the problem. The logon delay
occurs at "Applying your personal settings". Another symptom is: When
using the Advanced System Information tools and trying to view the
Applied Group Policy settings, I get an error message "Invalid
Namespace". Any insight into what this message means?

Thanks!

Default Re: Domain Logon Delay

Try pointing the DNS server to the domain controller. That should help.
