Default Primary Device Disabled

I had a problem where I coudn't write to my DVD-RW drive,
(I have a DVD and DVD-RW drives) so what I did was went
to the webite to get an updated driver. After that took
place I couldn't get into XP at all so I had to switch
from my primary boot drive (DVD)to my seconday boot drive
which is my DVD-RW (I think). Then today I started to
fool around with the DVD-RW drive in device Manager, I
disabled it AND now I am unable to get into Windows at
all. Safe mode doesn't work, nothing does AND I really
don't want to re-installed Windows XP because I would
lose all of my data. Is there anything I can do? Please
help..

Thanks

Bob

Bob, try going into the Bios ( usually hold delete key on startup ) and set
your hard drive as first boot device.
