dvd rom & dvd rw

Default dvd rom & dvd rw


when i go into add hardware wizard to add dvd rom and
dvdrw get message ...windows cannot start the hardware
device because its configuration information ( in the
registry ) is in complete or damaged. can someone please
tell me what the problem is....have added dvd drives
before , no problems then.

If the drives are new to your system try installing them one at a time.
Make sure you have IDE Auto enabled in the Bios. XP should see it and do the
rest.
