A number of months ago I installed a beta version of Windows XP SP2. I
subsequently uninstalled it but it left behind a "permanent tattoo" on the bottom right corner of my desktop saying: Windows XP Professional For testing purposes only. Build 2600.xpxp2.030422-1633 (Service Pack 1) I'm sure there is a way to remove this, but I can't seem to find it. I assume it's buried somewhere in the registry. Obviously it's not a big deal nor a critical issue for me, but I'd like to get rid of it. Thanks for any tips on where to look. Charles Tomaras Seattle, WA |

Found it on a beta website a while back. Can't remember now, it's been quite
a while ago. Didn't agree with my system. "JulioCampos" <juliocampos@mail.com> wrote in message news:%23O0PYwzTDHA.3144@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > Hello! > > Where you get the SP2 for Windows xp? > > Thanks for the answer. > > |

Hi,
Download an official Microsoft utility called Tweak UI (it's a Windows XP Powertoy) from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...s/powertoys.asp . In it in the general category, there's a checkbox "Show Windows version on desktop". Uncheck it. -- Szajd (Daniel Said) "Charles Tomaras" <tomaras@tomaras.com> az alábbiakat írta a következo üzenetben news:ewHef30TDHA.1912@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > Found it on a beta website a while back.
