Whenever I play StarCraft online other players cannot join my game, they come up with a message saying my latency is too high, yet I have DSL. When I use to play with 56k on my older computer it worked fine. Is there a problem with my XP setup for Internet connections, or is DSL or NIC?

You probably need to open the right ports on your firewall or router.

I got this message when I switched to cable from dial-up.
Shut down all programs that you can. If this doesn't help, you may want to shut down your anti-virus only while you are playing. That's what did it for me. >-----Original Message----- >Whenever I play StarCraft online other players cannot join my game, they come up with a message saying my latency is too high, yet I have DSL.
