Call of duty single player

Whenever i play call of duty single player
it crashes into a blue screen with nothing in it.
Multiplayer works fine.

I have amd 1.2
512 ram, ati radeon 9600 pro with latest drivers.

Since it's only happening in Single player, is it possible
that your saved game is damaged and causing this issue?
