Hi BB,
It's usually a CD converted into a file. Game manufacturers don't use .iso files, instead they ship their product to customers on real CD's. -- Cheers, Windows XP MVP Shell / User Jimmy S. http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Game FAQs: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=FH;[LN];gms Visit my Zone.com / Gaming Helpsite: http://nibblesnbits.tk or Call / Contact MS Support at: http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...id=sz;en-us;top My advice is donated "AS IS" without warranty; nor do I confer any rights. _________________________________________________________ "BB" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:0bce01c3c65a$f6cd1ea0$a501280a@phx.gbl... | Can someone tell em what a .iso file is? |

ISO formats are used by a lot of companies to limit the size of the
download. Microsoft does it in beta testing a lot. I trust Microsoft's files, but not sure I would download an ISO from some web site which isn't really known to me or is offering something that has been stolen in the first place. Can you trust a thief not to spread a virus through a download? -- Chris H.
