sound problems

when i play a game i hear no music but i hear sound but
when i exit the game and play music it work is it my sound
card or the software

If your game is trying to play the music files from the
game CD you could be missing the CD audio cable which is a
small cable that goes from the CD audio out connector on
the back of your CD-ROM drive, to a similar connector on
you sound card.

Need more info to try to narrow it down though. Have you
ever played music CD's on your PC? Did you hear anything?
