Hi, I need help getting windows to let me use a sega
Master System 2 controller that fits into the com port (that is, if it is at all possible)on XP. I have found the serial keys section in the accessibility options in XP but I lack the knowledge to make it work properly, or what settings should be set etc. If you could help me out if would be awesome. Thanks in advance. Alex |

"Sega Master System"? There used to be a console system by that name. If
that controller is designed for that console it might not only be incompatable with a PC, it might damage the PC's motherboard. The only game controlers I recall seeing that were designed for a PC's com port were force feedback joysticks. Some other electronic equipment; including Atari 2600 game console, Atari 8 bit computers, Apple //c computers, and Sega Genesis used the same connecter as many (newer) PC COM/Serial ports intended for mice. The pinouts on many of those connestors is completely different from a PC COM port. Many controllers designed for those systems weren't remotely sophisticated enough to communicate over a RS 232 serial interface.
