Pinball itself lives in the C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Pinball directory.
Just create a shortcut to it on your desktop by right-clicking the desktop, selecting New/Shortcut and Browse to the location above. -- Chris H. Chris,
Thanks for the quick response. I located the Pinball directory as you listed, however the directory is empty. Darn, sorry, Chuck. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the C:\WINDOWS\inf
folder, locate pinball.inf and right-click it. Select Install from the menu and see if that doesn't fire it up. The actual "base" files are located in the I386 folder, but not expanded. I believe choosing Install on the pinball.inf will retrieve those for you. -- Chris H. Chris,
Following your instructions using the Install command on the pinball.inf file did not work. No files ended up in the Windows NT/Pinball directory. Any other ideas? >-----Original Message----- >Darn, sorry, Chuck. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the C:\WINDOWS\inf >folder, locate pinball.inf and right-click it. Hi Chuck,
You might have to go through a little contortion then to get that game working with your current installation. Here's how: 1. Choose Start / Run / Copy+Paste the next line into the RUN box and press [ENTER]: notepad %SystemRoot%\Inf\Sysoc.inf 2. Scroll down a little to the line that reads: Pinball=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,pinball.inf,HIDE,7 and delete the word HIDE from the line so it now reads: Pinball=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,pinball.inf,,7 3. We've just added it to your add-remove program list so on to the next step 4. To add/remove Windows XP Games: Click START / Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs / Add Remove Windows Components / Accessories and Utilities / [Details...] / Games / [Details...] / then check (or uncheck and then recheck) Pinball / Click [OK] 3 times to finish. -- Cheers, Jimmy S. Hi Chuck,
I should have added that after you edit that file you should Click File / Exit and choose YES to save the changes you made to the file. Cheers! Jimmy. |
