Unreal Tournament not working correctly with windows XP

I switched my computer from Windows 98 to XP, and now
Unreal Tournament will not connect to Internet games.

The game does connect to the server to download the files
from that site, but then fails to connect to the game
itself after downloading the files.

I have XP firewall turned off.

I'm using a cable modem and a D-Link wireless router.

You will need to set up, in the D-Link router, a method of passing the
required IP port numbers. Most D-Link routers (at least the wired ones)
have a built-in firewall, which blocks most incoming access.
