Shortcuts

I had placed web site shortcuts on my desk and they were
working ok however I must have done something to my
system as they are now not linking into sites but coming
up as error ?

any suggestions as to what I have done or how to rectify
it

What error? Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs > "Reset Web Settings"
