Cannot make new connection

I quit my broadband ISP and went to a dail up modem. The
computer reconizes the modem but when I go to the "New
connection wizard", And I get to the screen where I want
to check "Connect using a dail up modem" it is grayed out
and I can only check "Connect using a broadband
connection that is always on."
How can I tell the computer that I am not usins a
broadband connection?
I hope somebody can help me.
