Default cd rom burner ????

Hello I recently had a hardrive failure and and to replace it with a new one. Prior to this my cpu displayed the the the the burner cd-rom, after I installed the new hardrive it displayed cd/rw. And now it wont let me burn any kind of media. I've unistalled the driver in safe mode and when I rebooted the same driver's were installed. I'll put a audio cd in and click on the icon and I get a pop up asking me to enter a cd? Can anyone help. Thank you

If it's on the sae cable as your new hard drive then check the jumpers on
the drive making sure they are both not the same. Secondly since you, or
someone, was in the box make sure all cables are firmly seated.
