Default No Boot on PC

Pc: P3 450mhz
400mb Ram
Nividia TNT2 M64 32mb Graphics
Creative 1024 Live soundcard

My wife accidently pressed the reset button on the PC
last night whilst the pc was booting up.
Now when you attempt to boot up the PC is just sits there
slowly beeping with nothing apperaing on the monitor.

Has something become disconnected (i.e graphics card)
this is my second pc (my oldest app 4 years old!!)
and I fear that somethng has died inside the graye box of
tricks

any thoughts would be most welcome.

Check out this site about beep codes. You didn't provide enough info about the number of beeps:

Pressing the reset button will not cause that problem. Actually it should
either boot up normally, or boot up into Safe Mode because the computer was
not shut down correctly.

You may have a failed graphics card, or the card may have become loose in
its socket - something that graphics cards are notorious for doing. Try
re-inserting the card. If that doesn't work, try a different card. However,
before doing any of those things, just check to make sure the monitor data
cable is firmly plugged into the graphics card.

Good luck.
