Default Intellimouse Explorer 4.0

I can't seem to find any general hardware newsgroup, so i
guess this is the most appropriate place.

See the mouse in the picture? i want to buy that. I think
its called the Intellimouse Explorer 4.0 on that page it is
referred to as the Intellimouse Explorer, but any online
retailer search for that yields an entirely different
mouse. So is the mouse pictured for sale anywhere, what is
its real name, and why is it referred to as Intellimouse
explorer on the page?

Hi,

This is the new version of the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer,
Older version were also called "Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer", and there
have been different variations to them from the past few years.

The eaiest way to find out if the mouse in question is the new design one is
to see if it is advertised with the Tilt-wheel technology. Since the older
version don't have the Tilt-Wheel technology.

I'm not sure if it's on sale yet since I haven't seen it around in computer
stores in Canada yet, and also that the http://shop.microsoft.com site
doesn't have a Add to Cart button for that mouse.

It's not available in North America yet.

It can be found in some European countries though.
Depending on who's articles you read, it should be out in NA around
April-June (though without a formal announcement from MS, this is just
speculation at this point).
