When you plug in your removable storage device you get
the pop-up "HI-SPEED USB Device Plugged into non-HI-SPEED USB Hub" and this message keeps reappearing even after closing the pop up. |

It's telling you that your USB 2.0 device will not give you full speed when
plugged into a USB 1.1 port, basically a hardware mismatch! You can purchase a USB 2.0 PCI card for $40-50. Plug the device into one of those ports. Does your answer mean that a USB 2.0 printer will still work in a USB 1.1 port, but at the USB 1.1 speed? Thanks, Gary Please remove XXX in email address if email reply is desired. |
