SATA HDD problem

I have installed a sata hdd form one machine to another
(both using win xp pro) and windows recognizes the drive
but wont allow me to access the drive saying it needs to
be formatted. The hdd has already been formatted from
previous system? Any suggestions?

Hello

Is the other pc the exact same as pc 1 if not it will
not work, moving harddrives from pc to pc won't
work, only if the other pc is the exact same, all spec's
must be pretty much the same.
