Default slave drive not showing in explorer

I have changed my win 98 hard drive (fat32) to a slave and made the master drive on xp. How can I access the files on the old drive through xp? In drive management I can see the drive but my only options are to delete partitions or make a dynamic disk. Is the problem the different o.s's? Can I do this without having a dual boot system
Thanks
Joe

Is the old Win 98 hard drive compressed with drive space? If it is, you will
not be able to use it under Windows XP. You will have to clear the old hard
drive, create a new partition and format the same.
