Both my CD and CD writer will not auto run when I insert
a CD. I get an error message "Device not accessible". I can get them to run if I go to the Control Panels Administative tools - computer management -systems tools - storage - disk management, it recognizes the disk is healthy and then rt clk to open the cd and it runs. What a nutroll! There has to be a easier, shorter method to setup the device to auto run any CD. I have exhausted the help files and found little or nothing related to this problem. Appreciate any ideas. thanks in advance |

I had a similar problem, I found one way was to go
through the drive properties and hardware properties to force it to populate the volume. I just figured out that it is the Indexing Service that isn't started. Changing the Indexing Service to automatic should fix your problem. >-----Original Message----- >Both my CD and CD writer will not auto run when I insert >a CD.
