scanner error

I keep getting this error for my scanner

[00000198] wiafbdrv HRESULT: The parameter is incorrect.

It work fine until a couple days ago, I have since re installed my OS and still can't figure it out, Visioneer 4800 scanner, usb connected, XP say its working fine, can't tell if it the scanner or OS please help if ya can thanks
