Windows XP has a HDD SIZE LIMIT of 138GB.
I can achieve full capacity once Windows XP (with SP1) is installed. ....BUT I need to run Setup with full 160GB HDD capacity at the time of initial Partitioning & Formatting. ....How can I do this? Phil. |

You also might try slipstreaming SP1 onto a burned
windows CD, That way, you can have SP1 "installed" at setup. For information on how to do this, go to http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstreamed_xpsp1_cd.htm >-----Original Message----- >The BIOS controls hard drive size, up date your BIOS > > > >"philozophical" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote >in message news:024b01c3c1db$db503050$a301280a@phx.gbl... >| Windows XP has a HDD SIZE LIMIT of 138GB. >| I can achieve full capacity once Windows XP (with SP1) is >| installed. >| ...BUT I need to run Setup with full 160GB HDD capacity >| at the time of initial Partitioning & Formatting. >| ...How can I do this? >| >| Phil. > > >. > |

Use a version of the Windows XP installation CD that has SP1 incorporated in it. > >Phil. |
