Default sound problems


Just put in a new sound card that has 5.1 stereo,
disabnled on board sound but now i get broken sound on
boot up and the CDRW is takind 20mins to burn a disc. Any
help would be greatly appreciated as it is very annoying
thanks.

Flubby, try a different PCI slot for the sound card. Did you install the
WinXP software for the soundcard?

yes installed the XP software. Will move the card to a
different slot and see if that helps.
