Default Dual Processors any benefit with XP over 2000 SP4

I am looking to upgrade to XP Pro from Windows 2000 Pro
with service pack 4.

My computer is a Dell Work Station with Dual Intel Xeon
2.2 GHZ processors. I work with 3D modeling software such
as Solid Works and other processor intensive programs in
the CNC machine tool programming of simultaneous 4 axis
machining.

Question is this; will the XP Pro OS offer any performance
advantage specifically for dual processors over my current
Window 2000 Pro with SP4?

I would appreciate any comments. Thanks.

I doubt you'll see a big difference in performance
between the two OS's. XP did have a few improvements to
running with dual processors, but I wouldn't upgrade just
on the basis of looking for more performance if your
Win2000 system is running fine.
