Do you want to share an internet connection? Do you want device sharing? Do you want to use your laptop applications with a better keyboard and monitor? Do you want to synchronize data? Does your laptop have a built in wireless connector? |

I'm leaving for the weekend in a minute. I suspect your floppy drive plugs into a USB port. It must have come with a connecting wire which can only be plugged in one way. It sounds as though you're not ready to set up a home LAN until you learn some more. But meanwhile, is there a plug that looks like a phone jack, but a bit too big for phone cords in the back of this and/or your desktop computer? After you plug in your floppy drive, do you see a similar place to plug it into your desktop computer? These are USB plugs. |
