Anyone have the Audigy 2 NX USB? If so, has anyone
managed to get it to work under USB 2.0? It shows up under the Basic USB Root Hub and not the USB 2 Root Hub. I have installed all the latest drivers but still no joy. Creative say that is a bug in Windows XP, and that Microsoft are working on a patch for it. If anyone has this patch, can they please tell me where they got it? It seems strange that a supposed USB 2.0 ready device wont use it. My PC spec is:- AMD Athlon XP2200+ MSI 6590 v1.0 Motherboard (VIA Apollo KT400 Ultra) 512MB PC 2700 DDR SDRAM 80 GB S-ATA HD Creative USB Audigy 2 NX |

Hi,
I would first suggest you to update the mobo chipset drivers and the BIOS. Have you installed SP1a ? If yes, there is an update patch for USB1.1 and 2.0 from the windows update site in the recommended update column. Peter >-----Original Message----- >Anyone have the Audigy 2 NX USB? Hi,
I have the latest BIOS available for my mobo, Hi have SP1 installed but not SP1a. I downloaded the USB updates in work as i have the internet there, so i have all the latest USB drivers. Dont have the internet at home, so i need the full version of SP1a from microsoft or wait for it to appear on a cover cd of a magazine. I have the latest chipset drivers available also. I have a USB 2 scanner, which is being recognised properly. I know that with ever new driver release for the Audigy 2 NX, the firmware is uprgaded. The only thing I can think of is that the drivers and firmware to make it use USB 2.0 haven't been released yet. What's ur view on that? It seems stupid that Creative would release a product that is USB 2.0 ready, and not have the proper drivers ready. That doesn't sound like Creative to me. I bought a USB 2.0 controller PCI card just in case there was a design flaw on the mobo USB controller, but that didn't work either. Any other ideas? >-----Original Message----- >Hi, > >I would first suggest you to update the mobo chipset >drivers and the BIOS. > >Have you installed SP1a ? >If yes, there is an update patch for USB1.1 and 2.0 from >the windows update site in the recommended update column. > >Peter > >>-----Original Message----- >>Anyone have the Audigy 2 NX USB? If you have SP1 you don't need SP1a, as they are almost the same, the
difference being SP1a doesn't include java (MS-VirtualMachine) "as per agreement" (=dispute) with Sun. -- Reply to group ================================================= Most learned here on nntp://news.mircosoft.com Helsinki, Finland (remove NO _SPAM) (translations from FI/SE not always accurate) ================================================= "Declan" <declan.shortall@aer-rianta.ie> kirjoitti viestissä news:00b201c3aae3$fed22970$a501280a@phx.gbl... > Hi, > I have the latest BIOS available for my mobo, Hi have SP1 > installed but not SP1a.
