Default Printer in My Computer?

Just upgraded from Win 98SE to XP home. In 98, I could
access printer functions for my Epson C82 (Ink Check,
Maintenance, etc.) when I opened "my COmputer" and right
clicked on the printer's icon. In XP, when I open "my
COmputer, it shows drives and scanners, but no printer.
How do I get printer to show in My Computer? Its a pain
to have to go through Control Panel each time I want to
check ink levels or do print test.

Default Re: Printer in My Computer?

Your printer is also can be access in your Start Menu, under Printer and
Faxes

You can also drag your printer in the Printer and Faxes out to your Desktop

Thanks
