My computor keeps asking me to run scandik, this i do and
click on the correct icon to start.
After time it shows up the message that "scandisk has
restarted 10 times" it the goes on to explain that windows
is communicating, or has files open and that i should
close, stop the communication and restart. Ihave being
doing this for three weeks now and can not find an open
file or communication.
This being said I have only had a computor for a year and
only used it for a collage course and am completly naive
to its systems. PLEASE HELP.
YOURS RAY ARNOLD.

Scandisk isnt suppose to be in xp,to chk the disk you R.
click the drive in my computer, properties, tools, the
options are available,or in cmd prompt,type:CHKDSK C: /F
or /R (for repair),thats just the way it is in xp.To turn
off scandisk,delete the icon,then go to run,type:cmd
At the curser type:SCANDISK /d /d turns off the auto-run
you should also open in control-panel,schedualed tasks,
and delete it.
