COM PORT
Does anyone know how to setup an additional com port in XP
that does not need a physical device to work. I set one up but it is showing unable to start device error. I need this for Shiva Dialout. Thanks |

You need to use a virtual serial port driver/device. The standard serial
driver can only be used with physical hardware. I can't recommend any virtual COM devices cause I have never really looked. Google will probably get you somewhere. Should not Shiva be able to help you? They made Dialout.
