Boot the machine into safe mode and see how it reacts, if performance seems
better, use msconfig to find the faulting application of service: 310560 How to Troubleshoot By Using the Msconfig Utility in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/?id=310560 -- Joseph W. Dont know if this will work but it did for me as i got
this from tech support. i had bought an ex demo from shop it was a new computer but when i got it home the next day it booted up but paused through each process (1) They advised me to shut down the pc and take all the cables out. (2)when all the cables are out including power cable press the button witch boots your computer up and hold the button in for one minute or just a bit longer then let go. (3)just put the power cable and moniter back in and boot the pc back up,if this works it did for me, your computer should start as normal. (4) reason for this is apparently my computer had got stattic on the motherbard and this destattics the motherboard. When i eplained my problem to tech they knew what it was straight away. ps i hope this works for you. >-----Original Message----- >Boot the machine into safe mode and see how it reacts, if performance seems >better, use msconfig to find the faulting application of service: > >310560 How to Troubleshoot By Using the Msconfig Utility in Windows XP >http://support.microsoft.com/?id=310560 > >-- >Joseph W.
